Not that long ago the Veterans' Page Database was flooded with Spam messages. The data already in the database was saved but unfortunately we have not been able to restore it to the database. When we do this section will be rebuilt with security features to prevent this from occuring again.

There is some good news to report however. If you are a family member wanting to find out more information about your relative that flew B-17s during the war, e-mail us the aircraft tail number and we can retrieve a brief aircraft history and the Missing Air Crew Report (MACR) number if the aircraft was shot down over enemy territory. If you do not have a tail number, knowing the Bomb Group/Squadron along with the name of the aircraft and we can probably find the aircraft number from that.

With the MACR number, you can access the national archives and order a copy of the report. Here is the link to their site: www.archives.gov.

We DO NOT charge for this service. The National Archives site charges a nominal fee for MACRs.

Thank you for your patience while we repair this section of the site.
