Unless otherwise stated, all headers are specifically
built to fit OEM style parts. Dawson Racing Headers will not be
responsible for any fit problems due to the substitution of non-OEM
components. Modified items such as the motor mounts, oil pans,
starters, steering components, master cylinder, suspension or
chassis (roll cage) can affect header fit. To avoid any potential
fit problems, please let us know all modifications when your order is placed.
Ordering Info
The preferred method of placing an order is by phone.
The reason for this is quite simple. Because all of our racing
headers are custom made, we need as much information as possible
to assure you the best header for your application.
We will accept orders by fax or mail, but we will
need to contact you to verify your order. Remember to write clearly
and always include your day, evening and cell phone numbers so
that we may easily contact you. You may contact us by phone Mon.

speak clearly and leave your name and the number where we can
reach you and we will gladly return your call. You can also fax

Pricing and Payment Policies
All prices quoted are F.O.B. Nuevo, California and
are subject to change without notice. Quantity pricing for large
volume accounts is available. We currently accept VISA,
MC., DISCOVER, MONEY ORDER or CASHIERS CHECK as deposits or full payments. We will accept Company checks if
you have established credit with us prior to your order. We will
also accept personal checks, however, this will likely delay your
order up to 3 weeks pending check clearance.
Deposits
Because custom headers are built to order, we require
a deposit for 50% of the full price of the header plus any options.
This can be paid by any of the options listed above. You will
be contacted when the header is nearing completion to make shipping
arrangements and the balance must be paid in full at this time.
COD Policy
Orders can be shipped COD using secured funds only
(money order, cashiers check…etc.) Absolutely NO personal checks will be accepted. We will accept company checks
from established customers.
Lead Times
All stocking items (most tubing, collectors, flanges…etc.)
are normally shipped within 24 hrs. However, because all of our
custom headers are built to order, there is always a lead-time
associated with the filling of these orders. This time may be
anywhere from 2 – 8 weeks, depending on our current work
schedule. This holds true for all headers, fixtured or built on
your vehicle. Please call us and we will be happy to let you know
what our current status is.
Expedited Orders
In some instances we may be able to “RUSH”
a custom header order for you. We understand the pressure racers
face to be ready for each and every event. We fill our orders
on a first come, first served basis and will not put your order
ahead of anyone else. However, in some cases we can work overtime
to get you the product that you need. This will require an “expedite
fee” to cover the overtime labor. We can’t always
do this, but we will do our very best to accommodate you.
Returns
All stocking non-custom products are eligible for return within 30 days of purchase. Should
you receive any items shipped in error by Dawson Racing Headers,
we will waive re-stocking fees and refund shipping charges. All
others are subject to a 15% handling charge and all inbound and
outbound freight charges.
All returns must be approved prior to your return
shipment or they will be refused. You must call and obtain an
authorization number, which must be clearly marked on the outside
of the package you are returning along with your name and return
address.
Shipping Methods
We normally ship using UPS Ground service. Other
shipping methods include UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air or Three
Day Air and FedEx. All shipments must be prepaid unless an open
account has been established.
We do not use any other shipping methods. All shipments
outside of the United States and Canada will be sent to the port
only. It is the customers’ responsibility to handle transportation
from that point.
